In-country costs are offset by scholarships from Wang Foundation, Tsinghua University and local county sponsors. These scholarships are awarded to all participants admitted into the program, and cover room and board expenses incurred inside China, including the week of orientation in Beijing and the time spent in service at the e-learning Center, plus payment of public ground transportation to and from the service site.
Upon acceptance into the program, participants will be assessed a $300 non- refundable administration fee payable to Tsinghua University.
Participants will be responsible for providing their own transportation to and from Beijing, their travel and health insurance throughout the program, plus the costs of passports, visas, and immunizations. Participants should also plan on bringing extra funds for incidental living expenses during and after the program.
